When: August 21 after the concerts in Emporium. Where: Medix Run
Directions:  From Emporium, drive to Medix Run Hotel on Rt. 555 and turn south on to the Quehanna Highway.  You will cross a bridge right away.  Turn right immediately after the bridge and follow the road to the camp.  This is a very good road.

HOW TO GET THERE
From Emporium and stay on paved roads, you must:
A: return to St Marys and drive Rt. 255 to Weedville and Rt. 555 East to Medix Run or
B. Take 120 East to Driftwood and then take Rt. 555 West to Medix Run
C. For the adventurous: You can take 120 West back to Saint Marys and at Howard Siding turn onto Moore Hill Rd then follow Hicks Run Road to 555 West.  This road will not be paved and VERY DUSTY.  I would not take this road unless you are familiar with it.

At the picnic site there is lots of yard to play games and a creek to wade in. (4 ft deep - bring old sneakers or sandals).  A pavilion and campfire ring where I will have a fire going for roasting hotdogs and toasting marshmallows.  Bring your own beverages.  I will have Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Buns and condiments there for everyone.  Those attending should bring other dishes and serving utensils and/or chips, dips, pretzels, guitars, etc to make it a real picnic.  There is limited space available for camping but it is possible.  (I will need help cleaning up in the morning.)
